Sweet, Sweet Georgia peaches calling my name. The true Southern hospitality attitude, big Georgia pine trees, pecan pie made from a recipe that has been handed down through 3 generations, sweet tea with more sugar than there is tea, and the warm Georgia sun. Those are just some of the things I think of when I remanence on all of my trips to Georgia whether I was in Atlanta, Athens, Kennesaw, Buckhead, or Savannah.
Georgia is a slow moving, sweet southern state with happy people and plenty of sunshine. If you want a faster pace and city life, Georgia is home to one of the largest U.S. cities, Atlanta. I am not a big city kind of girl, but man do I love Atlanta. It’s like no other city I have ever been to and most people are just as kind in the city as they are in the outskirts. Buckhead is where I have spent most of my time, which is an upscale uptown district of Atlanta. With some of the best shopping and dining, Buckhead is a must-stop if you are near Atlanta.
Another reason why I love Atlanta… Their airport! People either love it or hate it because it is so large, but I love the options they have in terms of food and flights. You can fly just about anywhere out of the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and dine on any cuisine you set your mind to with quick healthy options all the way to sit-down gourmet meals.
